Spaghettification – or what happens if you fall into a black hole
Posted by xxnapoleonsolo on 26th January , 2010THANKS to Gizmodo for an excellent video in which Dr Neil deGrasse Tyson – who missed his true calling as a stand up comedian – explains what would happen if you fell in a black hole.
A funny scientist – who knew? Click through for the video.
For the record, the good Dr is an astrophysicist and, since 1996, the Frederick P. Rose Director of the Hayden Planetarium at the American Museum of Natural History in Manhattan.
In short, he knows stuff about space.
But as detailed as he is, he doesn’t go into what would happen if you fell into a black hole after escaping from a giant spaceship crewed by a madman and his robot slaves, or whether Superman would be alright.
Dr deGrasse Tyson – explanations please!
