Doctor Who is real! Rose Tyler photograph from 1963

IN my day job I work for the Liverpool Echo, and was searching our picture archive for General Election pictures from years ago.

Imagine my surprise when I happened across this real photograph, taken in May 1963, of a man and woman on the doorstep in Liverpool.

Look! On the left! That’s bloody Rose Tyler!

I don’t know what the Doctor and Rose were up to in Liverpool in the 1960s, but now we have photographic proof they were here and that Doctor Who is actually real and everything. I’m going to lie down for a bit now.

As for the other woman, hasn’t Catherine Tate let herself go?
