I have despaired of late about Lucasfilm‘s treatment of Star Wars, and their seeming determination to always choose projects that set my teeth on edge.
Watching the recent PC World and mobile phone adverts in the UK featuring Darth Vader and Yoda have been hard going as two of the pillars of my childhood were transformed into corporate shills and in Yoda’s case, the butt of the joke.
But then along comes Star Wars: Essential Guide To Warfare and my faith is restored.
Written by Jason Fry and Paul Urquhart, it gives you the ‘facts, figures, and fascinating backstories of major clashes and combatants in the vast Star Wars universe’.
But more importantly, you also get amazing artwork, like this one below of an AT-AT kicking some Rebel arse.
Amazing yes? And proof that you can still make money and treat the property with respect.
