BILL Murray played down the chances of a new Ghostbusters film at the premiere of The Fantastic Mr Fox last night.
Does anyone really care about Ghostbusters anymore? Sure, the first film was great and has been watched countless times at Scyfi Love towers, but the second one was a stinker.
And other films have a genuine momentum behind them to see them on the big screen again – like Star Trek . I don’t think Ghostbusters has that, in the same way as Chris Pine maybe becoming the new Jack Ryan left me cold.
If Bill won’t do it unless the script is really good, then it won’t happen and I think they’d be better off just leaving it where it belongs – in the 1980s.
What do you think?
